Adelphi Class Scholarships

The Adelphi Class manages the Herbert Rohloff, Sr., Scholarship Fund, which provides up to four scholarships per fall and spring academic semester. These monies come from class fundraisers and from regular donations. We usually have two scholarships every year. The current deadline for Spring 2025 scholarships is December 7, 2024.

Class member testimonies

The Adelphi Class was started in 1946 and is one of the best attended Sunday school classes at First Methodist Church in downtown Houston. Please join us in the 5th floor parlor room! Although we are back to live Sunday School classes, you also meet us virtually via Zoom on Sunday at 10 am. Please email us to get the Zoom link.

Here is a photo of the class in session. You can see the teacher and his power point presentation. While the class is usually a "lecture style" lesson, we do encourage questions and comments from the members. Hope to see you soon! Location: 5th floor parlor.
