Our primary teacher is Dr. Brant Wallace and guest teachers who include class member Charles Pehl and Dr. Jim Hamilton. Please join us in the 5th floor parlor. The lessons usually include a Power Point presentation, and our teachers encourage questions and comments.
The Adelphi class contributes to a number of local missions every year. We donate our time and financial resources to give back to the community. We want to spread God's word, and make a difference in the world.
The Adelphi Class also manages the Herbert Rohloff, Sr., Scholarship Fund, which provides up to four scholarships per fall and spring academic semester. These monies come from class fundraisers and from regular donations. We usually have two scholarships every year. The current deadline for Spring 2024 scholarships is December 15, 2023. To see the scholarship application, please see the link on our Home Page.
First and foremost, the Adelphi are brothers and sisters. When financial difficulties, serious illness or other trials arise, Members of the Class have always been and continue to be The first to offer assistance to their fellow Adelphi. Our Brotherhood and our friendliness, our devotion to the Golden Rule, our love of the Church and our study of God’s Holy Bible are the motivational forces of the Adelphi.
We use both the Old Testament and the Gospels as the foundation for our faith and the inspiration for our daily lives. We put those teachings into practice at home and at work.
Just as Jesus said in the Beatitudes, blessed are the poor and the hungry. Our mission is not just to love one another, but to make sure we spread the love of the Gospels everywhere.
As of 2022 Brant Wallace and Charles Pehl are sharing teaching responsibilities. If you are new to the class, you can see more on the Lesson Archive page.
While our class has a lot of "mature" members, we also have members as young as 30! Some single, some married. We hope you'll see that the lesson is the key to our class.
The Adelphi Sunday school class began in 1946, so there is a LOT of history. The class began as the "20-30" class! We actually have large archive binders with photographs and history going back MANY years! And now with the internet we are able to share photos and videos with each other AND with you!
