Jim graduated from the University of Texas in 1941 with a degree in Business/Statistics and went to work for Shell Oil Company where he was employed for 40 years. He worked in various management positions with Shell throughout the country. After his retirement from Shell, Jim became President of Jim Kirk Associates, Inc., a consulting corporation teaching human relations and interpersonal communications. In World War II, Jim served as an officer in the United States Navy and was assigned to the 63rd Naval Construction Battalion (Seebees) in the South Pacific. Jim was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Houston and served on the Administrative Board and was a Past President of the Adelphi Class. Among other affiliations, Jim was a Past President of the Bellaire Lions Club, past director of the Lighthouse-Houston, Life Member of the Lions Texas Eye Bank, member of the Bellaire Coin Club and a member of the Executive Service Corps of Houston.

ROBERT A. SKILTON, SR., retired banker, was born in Philadelphia, PA. He died at home Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at the age of 77. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his only sibling, Warren Skilton, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Evon; children: daughter, Barbara Gremillion & husband, Steve; son, Robert A. Skilton, Jr. & wife, Joanne; and daughter, Sarah Stuchly; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Jim lived in Houston for over fifty years. He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey "Toby" Henderson; daughter, Linda Kay; and brother, Charles Henderson of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws; Billie Mason, Doris Waggoner, and Corinne Henderson; and brother-in-law, Ross Wagner. Jim's extended family includes nieces, Debbie Chance, Mary Gibson, and Cindy Totten; along with nephews, Ron Henderson, Bill Henderson, and Collin Chance and their spouses; and several great nieces and nephews. A long time member of the First Methodist Church and the Adelphi Class, Jim volunteered tirelessly for the church and the community he loved. Jim was a B-26 pilot in the 387th Marauder Group during World War II. He had also retired from GeoSource, Inc.

Clint and Martha met in Sunday School while attending St. Paul's Methodist church in 1941. They met at Methodist Youth Fellowship. He and Martha both sang in the choir. At that time, Clint was also attending Rice University. They were married for 62 years. They joined FUMC "eons ago" and were long time members of the Adelphi class. Clint was born Water Valley, Mississippi, and eventually lived in Memphis. Clint graduated from Rice University with a degree in chemical engineering, and worked at Exxon for 62 years. Clint also played in the band at Rice University.They lived in the middle East for five years. They have two daughters, Martha Clare Sosa who lives in Boise Idaho, and Lucy Turner, living in Spokane. Martha lives with Lucy and has a two bedroom suite in the basement! Clint and Martha played golf and were members of Northgate Country Club. Martha plays piano for the ladies lunch at their Presbyterian church in Spokane. Martha remembers happy times with several Adelphis, including Warren and Mary Kimbrell and Betty Francois.
Dana was born April 27, 1946 in Washington D.C. and raised in Atlanta Georgia. In 1976 she moved to Texas. She is survived by her husband Richard Schiffman, son Curtis Hicks, step-daughter Kamy Schiffman, daughter Constance Alvarez, and step-son Todd Schiffman. Dana's interest was focused on music and she was active in church choirs. She had even performed in Carnegie Hall. Dana traveled to several countries and sang in churches in many of them. Her professional career was at Clarewood House as the Activity Director. She retired in 2008 when she moved to Conroe, Tx. She was a member of Wildwood United Methodist Church choir, Welcome Neighbors Club, a neighborhood Bunco club, and a bridge group known as the Golden Girls. Dana was a folk art creator. She was loved by all that knew her and she returned that love.
After serving in the United States Armed Forces, Don began his career in banking which led to many years of experience in management, operation, administration, accounting, and training with various domestic and international companies. He was the manager of administration for Fortis Alliance; an international trading company. He was a member of Grace Fellowship United Methodist Church and a former member of First Methodist Church - Houston. He served as Lay Leader, President of the Adelphi Sunday school class, various church committees, and taught numerous Sunday school classes. Don never met a stranger, he loved people and people loved him. Don was preceded in death by his parents J.C. and Eunice Griswold Higginbotham, two sisters, Lorece Ozment Rainey and Billy Jean Bussell. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Myra Malone HIgginbotham of Katy, Texas, one daughter, Dallas Higginbotham Stanberry and husband Tyron Stanberry of Houston, two grandsons, Remington Stanberry of Los Angeles ,California and Colten Stanberry of Waco, Texas, one sister Helen Higginbotham Foote of Hamburg, Arkansas and two brothers, Phillip Higginbotham of Bentonville Arkansas and James Higginbotham of Crossett, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews. Don passed away at age 76 peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2015
Warren was born in Montgomery LA on June 6, 1929, the son and fifth child of Kieffer C. Kimbrell and Daisy Johnson Kimbrell . Warren served in the US Army for two years (1951-1953) upon graduating from college and was employed by Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation in the Contract Negotiation division of Gas Supply for 32 years before retiring in 1985. A resident of the Houston area since 1975, Warren and Mary joined First United Methodist Church of Houston and the Adelphi Sunday School Class in 1978. Warren is survived by his loving wife Mary Markham Kimbrell of Spring TX; cherished son and daughter: Raymond James Kimbrell (Teresa) (Arkansas) and Alisa Danette Kimbrell Bickham (Ken) (Kentucky), three grandsons Ryan Everette Kimbrell (Kate), Thomas and Joseph Bickham, and one granddaughter Lydia Bickham, plus several beloved nephews, nieces and cousins. Warren passed away on August 2, 2020
