BILLIE O’NEIL STRICKLAND

Billie was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 7, 1942, the only child of Andrew William O’Neil, M.D.   She lived the first 13 years in Tullahoma, Tennessee with her Grandparents Walter B., and Kate Viva O’Neil, after which she moved to Falfurrias, Texas, where her father, Andrew William O’Neil, M.D. was in Medical practice.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University, and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.  She moved to Houston, Texas in 1970 and spent 37 years in education, retiring from Houston ISD in 2008.  She has one daughter, Sheila O’Neil Strickland Wray, and husband Andrew; nine grandchildren and three great grand children: Seth Wray and wife Kristy  and their two daughters Sadie, age 3,and Stella, age 1; Hunter Wray, Jessica Wray,  Hanna Wray, and husband Cameron, and their 9 month old son, Judah;  Anadrew Wray, Remember Wray, Luke Wray, Moses Wray, and Gabriel Wray.  Billie joined First United Methodist Church Houston, West Campus in 2011, and transferred to FUMC downtown Houston in 2012 where she joined the Adelphi Sunday School Class.  She enjoyed working with the video filming of the lesson for several years.
